Filip De Leeuw is a talented Belgian knife maker who makes traditional non-locking folding knives with new, modern materials. Spyderco’s new Friction Folder is based on one of De Leeuw’s most popular designs. It features a flat-ground VG-10 stainless steel blade with an integral lever that extends from the tang. Pressure on the lever rotates the blade into the open position where it rests against the stop pin. Gripping the contoured G-10 handle holds the lever firmly in place and stabilizes it during cutting chores. The Friction Folder includes an open-top leather pouch with a pocket clip.
